I’m Amber—a wife, mother, homemaker, and homeschooling mom with a deep love for faith, family, and the simple joys of everyday life. This blog is my little corner of the internet. I’ve created it to encourage and inspire other moms who are walking this beautiful, messy, and meaningful journey of motherhood, homemaking, and faith.
Why I Started This Blog
For as long as I can remember, I’ve had a heart for home and family. When I became a mother, I quickly realized that this journey was filled with incredible blessings. But it also comes with challenges, doubts, and moments of exhaustion. So, I longed for a place where I could connect with like-minded women. I’ve wanted to share the lessons I’ve learned, and encourage others to embrace the beauty of home-centered living.
As I navigated the early years of motherhood, I often found myself searching for wisdom from other women who had walked this road before me. I was overwhelmed with frustration on a daily basis and I was terrified that I was messing everything up as a mom and wife. And learning how to run a home with grace and faith was a huge task.
That’s when I felt God nudging me to create this space.
A space where I could share my experiences, my struggles, my victories, and, most importantly, my faith. I started blogging in 2009 and fell in love with it. But then we started a family and time kept creeping away from me in the blink of an eye. My kids were my priority and in the trenches of little kids everywhere, I had to put them first.
Over time, I tried picking it back up, but I could never be consistent. I was never confident enough to put myself out there. I attempted to start writing many times. But it never felt as if I was going in the right direction.
After being a mom for 11 years now (oh my gosh that blows my mind), I feel more confident in who I am, WHOSE I am and what legacy I want to leave with my children.
Now that we are homeschooling, I feel more compelled to write and help other moms feel confident in their motherhood.
I’m so excited to have just a touch more time to blog again and to serve other moms through this blog in so many ways.
